Development Advisor
The Development Advisor (DA), formerly known as the Career Assistance Advisor (CAA), acts as the principal advisor to CCs and supervisors on retention issues. The program is designed to welcome and educate new FTA to the local base and assist supervisors when talking to subordinates about the benefits of the Air and Space Force careers. Enlisted enhancement courses are conducted for SNCOs, NCOs, and Airmen/Guardians and Right Decision briefings for the first- and second-term Airmen/Guardians. The DA also assists CCs and supervisors in career counseling and conducts advertising and publicity programs.

Courses
First Term Enlisted Course (FTEC)
The FTEC provides a structured program to transition Airmen and Guardians from a training mindset to a mission-oriented environment. FTEC provides orientation type information and reinforces lessons learned in BMT and technical training to aid in successful transition. This provides a unique opportunity to create an environment for Airmen and Guardians to further develop their warrior ethos and continued expeditionary mindset. All FTA must attend an FTEC within 45 days of arrival on station.
Noncommissioned Officer Professional Enhancement Seminar (NCOPES)
This course is designed to augment and reinforce (not replace) information taught in Basic Military Training, technical training, ancillary training, PME, and job experience. The NCOPE Course is designed to target NCOs who completed ALS at least three years prior and/or who have not yet attended ALE.
Senior Noncommissioned Officer Professional Enhancement Seminar (SNCOPES)
This course is designed to augment and reinforce (not replace) information taught in Basic Military Training, technical training, ancillary training, PME, or job experience. The SNCOPE course is designed to provide newly selected Master Sergeants with an in-depth view of their increased supervisory, leadership, and managerial responsibilities. It also provides assistance in making the transition to SNCO status more effective.
Informed/Right Decision
This briefing is an educational experience specifically designed to enhance one’s knowledge of Air Force benefits, highlighted program requirements, and processes. The goal is to ensure personnel obtain the needed information in order to make the best decision for them and their family. First and Second Term Airmen, 12-15 months prior to their DOS are required to attend unless pending involuntary separation.
Flight CC & Flight Chief’s Course
The three-day course provides you with tools and best practices to efficiently and confidently manage a flight. This introductory course advises students on Air Force administrative processes, appropriate disciplinary techniques, frontline supervisor lessons from helping agencies, mentorship and leadership. The class will consist of a mix of Officers (Capt/1st Lt) and Enlisted (MSgt/TSgt). The class is also available to Civilian Flight Chiefs. Personnel interested in the course should actively be, or will soon be, in a Flight Commander or Flight Chief role.
